CONNECTING

What does it feel like to reconnect with an old friend? Is that something that you have wanted to do but have found that you're too busy at work, with the kids, or preoccupied to find the RIGHT time to make that connection? Is there ever a right time?
A very dear friend of ours, my old mixed doubles partner, and god son to our youngest son, Taylor, drove down from Maine with his wife. I had not seen George or Linda in so long that I had lost track of time. That evening was spent catching up; and I realized when we were closing in on the bewitching hour how much I had missed this person in my life. It was an "ahhha" moment for me. I had missed his honesty in conversations, his empathy towards life and those he loved, and most of all I had missed his gentle company. Time to just sit and connect. I was startled to learn how much I had missed by not reconnecting with those special people in my life. I vowed to myself as I went to bed that this was NOT going to happen again. For we can all make those excuses; however, the older we get, the faster time flys by. We will never have those moments again. So I ask each of you,
WHAT IS IT TO HAVE FRIENDSHIPS?

WHO WILL YOU CALL?
.................................................AND WHEN WILL YOU DO IT?
Take that next step, you will be glad that you did.
Keeping in touch,
Sallie
