PICK YOURSELF UP

Tired of stumbling? Frustrated that you don't get what you want out of life? We have all been there. Do you want to change? Want a solution?

Here are some Tips:

1. First make a list of what is important to you
2. Now prioritize that list
3. Take that SAME list and circle what makes you HAPPY
4. Looking at that word that you circled, WHAT about it makes you HAPPY, write down thoughts or just words

By doing this exercise, you will be focusing on what is important to your heart rather than living just from your brain. In order to be truly happy, one must understand what brings them happiness. From there, as they say, "the world is your oyster."

END OF ROPE...NO MORE TIME

Have you ever wondered when you were going to get anything/everything completed and on time?
I thought that August went by fast...where did September go? Next month is going to be so busy and I am wondering when everything is going to get done. So I shook my head, took a deep breath and did what I tell my clients:

1. Make a list of all that needs to be done.
2. Now prioritize that list...Is there anything that can wait for another week?
3. Take that list and number in order what is critical to get done now.
4. Compute how much time it will take you to complete each particular task. Add 15 minutes to give yourself wiggle room for any interruptions.
5. Now here comes the challenge: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN YOUR CALENDAR WITH YOURSELF. YES, NOW YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE.
6. If you are dreading a task, listen to a CD and stop when it is done, take a break, stretch, do what works for you, but don't give up.
7. Cross off the task when it is completed and reward yourself....Especially if it was HUGE.

I'm reminded of the book, "THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD" and I think about what his words were: "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can". The difference is in the attitude...If you change "I think" to "I will."
